Win A Chance to Sing with Yo La Tengo

WFMU lets fans bid on a chance to join the Hoboken-based band onstage.

Tickets to "The Eight Nights Of Hanukkah with Yo La Tengo" are sold out. But, die-hard fans who haven't bought their tickets yet still have a chance to see the Hoboken-based band in December.

As a means to raise money for the station, Indie radio station WFMU is auctioning off a chance to sing a song with Yo La Tengo during one of their shows at Maxwell's on Dec. 1 to Dec. 8. According to eBay, the winner will get to choose the song with the band and rehearse the song with them during soundcheck before the show. The winner will also be able to bring along a friend to the show that night of the "performance."

While Yo La Tengo's string Hanukkah shows has been a long lasting tradition, the band skipped out on their Maxwell's residency in 2009. Their return to the Mile Square venue sparked excitement and sold out the shows in record time.

WFMU is also giving a pair of tickets to a Guided By Voices show at Terminal 5 in New York City, a chance to sit-in on a read-through for the Simpsons in Los Angeles, an opportunity to have tea with Magnetic Fields' Stephin Merritt and an autographed guitar by Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant to the highest bidders.

Fans will have until Oct. 12 to bid on their favorite pieces.
