Olympic Gold Medalist to Headline Boutique Fitness Studio Opening

Work it Out Fitness Studios will hold a ribbon cutting for its new location on River Street this Thursday night.

Work it Out Studios, a Willow Avenue-based fitness boutique that offers a variety of dance and fitness classes for adults, will hold a ribbon cutting Thursday for its new River Street location.

Mayor Dawn Zimmer and celebrity guest Nastia Liukin, who won an individual all-around gold medal in gymnastics at the 2008 Olympic games in Beijing, will be on hand for the 6:30 p.m. ribbon cutting at the new studio, which is located at 5 Marine View Plaza (on River Street between 1st and 2nd streets).

Work it Out River will offer new Blended Ride classes, which the studio's website describes as "part ride, part toning, part amazing." Zimmer, a bike enthusiast, will inaugurate the first blended ride on Thursday night, according to a company press release.
