Zimmer: Sandy Damage 'Well Over $100M'
Heavy damage in Hoboken includes public buildings, such as fire stations and the multi service center.
Sandy's damage to Hoboken is "well over $100 million," said Mayor Dawn Zimmer during a congressional hearing on Thursday morning.
"Our community center, public works garage, three of our four fire houses, and more than 1700 homes flooded," Zimmer told the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship on Thursday morning.
The city has started renovations, which are ongoing, and has approved millions in emergency funds already.

Other public property — such as Pier C Park — also sustained have damage.
This number is separate from the Port Authority's estimate of $300 million damage to the PATH system.
