Enterprise Holdings Hiring More Management Trainees and Interns in the Tri-State Area

Local Car Rental Team Honored for Commitment to Company’s Founding Values; Donating to Community Non-Profits

Wayne, New Jersey, March 26, 2014 – Enterprise Holdings, the largest car rental company in the world, is hiring more than 300 college-educated, career-oriented men and women in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Vermont through its management training and internship programs.

Enterprise Holdings, through its regional subsidiaries, operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands. These new full-time employees are being hired into the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Management Training (MT) program or the Management Internship program in the New York/New Jersey region, which recently was recognized with a Founding Values Award for consistently carrying out the values of company founder, Jack Taylor.

The Jack Taylor Founding Values Award honors regional Enterprise Holdings teams for their commitment to integrating the company’s core values into their daily operations. That means the Greater NY Tri-State region not only achieved operational excellence during the past fiscal year, but also focused on key priority areas such as philanthropy, diversity, business ethics and environmental conservation/sustainability.

“This annual competition, named for my father, is actually a strategic management initiative,” said Jo Ann Taylor Kindle, president Enterprise Holdings Foundation. “Through the Founding Values program, our senior managers and their teams work to integrate our company’s core values into their local business planning and operations every fiscal year.”

On behalf of each regional team that won the Founding Values Award, the Enterprise Holdings Foundation provides $20,000 in grants to benefit area non-profits. Organizations in the tri-state area receiving grants include American Cancer Society, First Book, and Operation Home Front.

“I am thrilled and proud that we have been recognized for winning our tenth consecutive Jack Taylor Founding Values Award. This award symbolizes our consistent commitment to the core values of Enterprise Holdings,” added Andy Church, New York Group President and General Manager. “One of our founding values is, ‘We Strengthen our Communities One Neighborhood at a Time.’ We have been able to use the winnings from this award to support the various communities that we service.”

Promote-from-within Culture

Enterprise’s promote-from-within culture is the major driver behind its need to recruit thousands of new employees annually throughout North America. “We put our employees in a position to succeed immediately, and we promote almost exclusively from within,” Church said. “That makes Enterprise an ideal choice for candidates seeking a great, long-term career opportunity.”

Last year alone, nearly 11,000 individuals were promoted or took on new challenges in various positions throughout Enterprise Holdings’ global network, contributing to new opportunities for recently hired management trainees, and a need to add even more. In addition to MTs and interns, other full-time time opportunities such as positions are also available.

Enterprise Holdings operates a global network of more than 8,100 airport and neighborhood locations. In the Greater NY Tri-State region, Enterprise Holdings’ three-brand car rental network includes 300 neighborhood and airport branch locations in the metropolitan area.
