New Jersey Government Tech Startup Presents at National Conference, Partners with Two NJ Municipalities

Hoboken, NJ- New Jersey tech startup, PropertyPilot, is quickly gaining recognition for being a leader in government technology and geographic information systems (GIS) innovation at the local, state and national levels.  After PropertyPilot Founder and CEO, Michael Bonner, presented at the International Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election Officials and Treasurers (IACREOT) Annual Conference last week, the startup entered into partnerships with two New Jersey municipalities to provide cloud-based government management and geographic information systems technology that will help improve efficiency and transparency while reducing costs.

“This has been a very exciting two weeks for PropertyPilot,” said CEO Michael Bonner.  “Local and county governments today are under incredible pressure to do more work with fewer resources,” Bonner stated.   “It was great to have been able to offer our expertise on a national level last week and now to take our platform and put it into action in two New Jersey towns is doubly rewarding,” Bonner continued.

PropertyPilot has been able to take scattered data sets in New Jersey and make them come alive on a lightning-fast digital parcel map. Additionally, because the platform is built in the cloud, PropertyPilot can quickly and easily accommodate municipal specific data, which can help government officials achieve new efficiencies and cost savings, making information accessible and easy to use for the average user.

“When used correctly GIS can yield powerful results,” Bonner stated. “It can also be costly, complicated and inaccessible, which often times leads to roadblocks to adoption by government officials.”  He continued, “I was honored to have been able to share what we have learned at PropertyPilot at the IACREOT Annual Conference and am happy to be in a position to help government officials in New Jersey work smarter and more efficiently.”

PropertyPilot has already begun working directly with their first municipal partners to fully customize the platform to meet those localities’ specific needs and “through the next 60-90 days, will be working closely with our municipal partners to fully integrate our system into the day to day activities these towns perform in service to their residents,” Bonner said.

“Ultimately, local governments can’t be in the business of creating and customizing software,” Bonner said. “In too many instances municipalities have erred by spending taxpayer dollars on building systems that become antiquated quickly. It’s like an author creating Microsoft Word before writing a book,” Bonner observed.
