Hoboken: A Linked in Library

Recently, I received an Ipad, it didn’t see much use unto my wife discovered ebooks at the Hoboken Public library!  Ebooks are just one way the Hoboken library has really improved over the past couple years.

Ebooks

Via the ListenNJ website we found thousands of ebooks and audiobooks available for ‘checkout’ on your ebook reader with a Hoboken library card and pin combination. Free!  If you don't have a pin yet, swing by the library and get one. We were able to take five books on vacation using just a slim Ipad.

Online Book Requests

You can reserve a book or request a book via the online catalog with ease.  This even includes books in a large network of libraries.   This is much easier than the old green monitors and paper slips we grew up on.  My wife and I have been ‘ordering’ books on the site with the same card number pin combination we use to checkout ebooks. We get an emails letting us know our books are available and just pick them up. Renewals are again done with the click of the mouse.
