Apart and above everything else, let us always remember our local heroes, who are the dedicated men and women of Law Enforcement, Fire and Rescue, EMR personnel, and many unnamed responders and volunteers. It is their selfless courage, endurance, and determination which saves lives and communities. They are here for us no matter what or when, and in our outspoken opinion, they have earned the highest degree of professional respect. Yet when the media turns away, we may think of these bringers of hope as our family, friends and neighbors, who often must heal themselves alone in quiet reflections. Thank you
