Flash Flood Watch Issued for Hoboken Until Evening

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect from 3:45 a.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Buckets of rain are on the horizon for Hoboken again Tuesday and a flash flood watch is in effect for Hudson County until 8 p.m.

A 60 to 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms are predicted in the morning and afternoon, with heavy rain likely at times, continuing into the evening when there will be a 30 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms before midnight and isolated showers between midnight and 2 a.m. Wednesday.

NWS estimates that between three-quarters and one inch of new rainfall is possible during the day.

Residents are advised to monitor forecasts throughout the day and make arrangements should conditions deteriorate and a flash flood warning be issued.
