U.S. Navy Drops Equipment To Repair Heavily Damaged Lackawanna Terminal

A helicopter landed on Pier A Park on Friday afternoon, to drop off supplies.

A U.S. Navy helicopter landed at Pier A Park on Friday afternoon to deliver supplies to start repairing the heavily-flooded Lackawanna Terminal.

The repairs should help get the downtown ferries up and running soon. The PATH is still not running, until further notice.

Representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the National Guard are still present in town.

The gas and the supplies that were brought are not for personal vehicles.

While much of the town has shifted its focus on the massive clean up effort, gas supply is quickly dwindling all over the state, including Hoboken. The uptown gas station was opened for emergency vehicles only.
