Using Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils To Get Through The Holidays

Sharing my experience about using therapeutic grade essential oils for holidays to offset Bad diet,Stress,Getting sick, Problems with romance, Breathing difficulties,Being in pain, and Memory loss

 

What are the red flags for the holidays?

 (too much excitement) A cold or a flu     (a natural consequence of  the above two factors) Problems with your romance      (stress will wreck havoc to your hormones) Breathing difficulties    (all of the above factors combined!)    Pain      (your loyal ever-present friend) Memory loss     (nothing to brag about)

                                                  

Have I forgotten about cleansing and detox?  Nope!  That will be your final reward!

 Luckily, Aromatherapy can help restore your body and mind balance quickly and effectively, without side effects.

 For poor diet:

 Use therapeutic grade essential oils like Fennel, Peppermint, Spearmint, Basil, Marjoram, Ginger, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Clove, Coriander, Dill, or blends (my favorite is Young Living's DiGize).  Not only can you add therapeutic grade essential oils to your food  and drink (in very small quantities), but rub them on your stomach and spine, or put in a capsule to swallow.  

 Do you want to have a cake and eat it?  Then use Ocotea or Slique Essence therapeutic grade essential oil blend by Young Living, which has Ocotea in it.  Not only will Ocotea  bring your blood sugar down, but it will also normalize your blood pressure  as well.  Slique Essence blend, which combines grapefruit (fat-burner), tangerine, lemon, spearmint, and ocotea with stevia extract will add the benefit of helping you control your hunger, uplift your mood (citrus oils), and help you with digestion (spearmint).

 For a painful acidic stomach, again, Ocotea works almost instantaneously for pain, as well as healing (speaking from experience).

For gas and indigestion, 1 drop of Peppermint therapeutic grade essential oil in a glass of water, or rubbing DiGize on your tummy makes the problem go away in the solitude of the outdoors.

Dealing with stress 

 Besides chocolate, stress can be alleviated with the therapeutic grade essential oils.

Luckily, there are so many oils to chose from: Lavender,  Frankincense, Ylang Ylang,  Valerian, Young Living RutaVala blend  of Valerian, Lavender and Ruta, which helps me stay calm when dealing with my teen-aged son,  Orange, Vanilla , Stress Away roll on, Joy, and Peace and Calming blends by Young Living, to name a few.  

What's the quickest way to use these therapeutic grade essential oils?

Smell them.  Put a drop of essential oil on your palm, make 3 clockwise circles with your index or 3rd finger to give the oil more energy, rub your hands together, and INHALE...  Ah...  Otherwise, you can diffuse them or take a bath.

Rubbing therapeutic grade essential oil of Lavender on the back of my neck, or drinking 3 drops of it in a 1/4 glass of water makes me submit to my comfortable pillow in no time!

When I am under stress, habitually, I need to chew.  My latest little helper sometimes is Young Living Slique Gum - Frankincense resin with  barely perceivable Peppermint and Spearmint therapeutic grade essential oils.

Getting sick

is no fun no matter when.  I simply hate it.  Without losing a second, I rub Young Living Thieves oil on my throat (1 drop), my feet (more generous there), lymph nodes below my neck, and spine.  I also put 1 drop of Thieves on my tongue and wait for enough saliva to make it not so hot to swallow.  There are so many other ways to do it too - 101 in all!  Of course, stopping indulging yourself, cleansing  and getting a rest while using this ancient blend will speed up your recovery.  I get well in 12 hours. However, in the spirit of the holidays, you can stay sick for a week pain-free comfortably.  This means, using Thieves every time you feel sore throat.   

Another favorite oil of mine is Melaleuca Alternifolia (tea tree). I found Young Living therapeutic grade essential oil of tea tree the most effective of any tea tree oil product on the market.

 Breathing problems 

are often triggered by fear.  Addressing the distressing emotion in a positive way might eliminate the breathing difficulties going forward.

Memory loss (where was I?)

Don't be harsh on yourself.  With all that you need to do in a short amount of time, exacerbated  by other stresses, speaking from experience, it is normal to forget.  However, having said that, I acquired a small bottle of Brain Power by Young Living to cleanse and regenerate a few damaged brain cells of mine.  However, I keep on forgetting to use it...

Romance - 

 My favorite therapeutic grade essential oils are Ylang Ylang and Geranium.  You don't have to use even 1 drop to get results!

If you prefer Jasmine, use it as Cleopatra did to seduce Marc Anthony, when she sailed into port with the sails of her ship soaked in jasmine oil.
