Hoboken Mommies launch Family Fun Nights full of food, music and prizes

Win prizes, hear kid friendly tunes and have a drink on the waterfront at the first ever Hoboken Mommies Family Fun Night!

The party starts this Wednesday, October 3 from 5-8pm. Hoboken Mommies founder Sarah Himmelbaum said she wants the Family Fun Night to become a monthly event.

“We want families to be able to count on one night every month where they can treat the kids to a fun night out, and where parents can also enjoy a drink and some grown-up conversation,” Himmelbaum said.

The first Family Fun Night will be outdoors at Pier 13, which has plenty of room for kids to play while moms and dads mingle. The kids can paint pumpkins and dance until they drop listening to Preschool of Rock and Polka Dot, and the whole family can pose for a free professional photo with the Manhattan skyline as a backdrop.

Parents can win raffle prizes including four tickets to see the Wiggles, classes for Local Barre, a gift basket from Salon Caru and kitchenware from Beaba Food, plus receive gifts from Happy Family Organic Superfoods.

Family Fun Night is free for kids, while each parent can buy a basic pass for $20, which includes a two-hour open bar with beer, wine and sangria, or a VIP pass with an all-inclusive open bar for two hours and two free raffle tickets for $30.

This month Hoboken Mommies will donate a portion of ticket and raffle sales to help the Hoboken Charter School rebuild after a recent fire. There will also be a bin where parents can donate school supplies.
