Hoboken Officials Bag Groceries for Hunger Action Month
Inserra Supermarkets and cashiers at ShopRite stores throughout New York and New Jersey recently collected donations for local food banks, while local dignitaries bagged groceries.
Mayor Dawn Zimmer and members of the Hoboken police and fire departments helped bag groceries last month at the Hoboken ShopRite as part of Inserra Supermarkets' "Help Bag Hunger" food collection event.
As part of the annual day-long National Hunger Action Month event, cashiers at 22 ShopRite stores throughout New York and New Jersey collect donations of non-perishable food for local community food banks, while community volunteers and dignitaries bag groceries.
