HOPES Awarded Horizon Health Services Grant

The Hoboken Organization Against Poverty and Economic Stress received a $20,000 grant to support its HOPES on the Road program.

HOPES — The Hoboken Organization Against Poverty and Economic Stress — is one of 35 New Jersey non-profits working to improve the health and well-being of state residents that recently received a support grant from the Horizon Foundation for New Jersey.

The Horizon Foundation, the charitable arm of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, provided the local community services charity with $20,000 toward its HOPES on the Road program for the second year, HOPES announced on its Facebook page.

HOPES on the Road connects low-income individuals in Hudson and Union counties — often seniors or non-native English speakers — to local health care providers with the assistance of a translator, if necessary.
