On Sunday, September 29, 2013, The Hoboken Education Association held a pride event at the Hoboken Arts & Music festival in Hoboken, New Jersey.
The HEA pride committee had a local association tent at the event and provided free face painting for the children of Hoboken and free NJEA literature for the parents. The pride committee face-painted over 150 Hoboken children at the event. The goal was to spread the positive message about the association and the local Hoboken public schools.
This was the first of many NJEA Pride events that the Hoboken Education Association has planned for this school year.
