Hoboken Public School Teacher Selected to Present at Macworld-iWorld

Mark Mautone, a lead teacher in the Hoboken Public Schools ABA Program/Special Education Department, has been selected for a second time to speak at the Macworld/iWorld conference in San Francisco in late March. Mr. Mautone is the only educator in the United States who will be presenting his work alongside some of the top leaders in technology, the creative arts, and other industries. Mark will be presenting "IPads in Education: A Tool for Success" based on his revolutionary work with students with autism here at the Hoboken Public Schools.

Mark Mautone has 20 years experience in special education and autism. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Teacher of the Handicapped and a Masters of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis.  Mark holds certification in Teacher of the Handicapped and Preschool-3rd grade.  He is a lead teacher for the Hoboken Public School District ABA/Autism Program.

In 2009, Mark launched a start up technology company, ITPADD. His company initially focused on app design and development, but has expanded to provide technology instruction for individuals with autism and other disabilities as well as training for parents and teachers.  Mark is an Apple Certified Associate.  He designed/developed ITPADD (iPhone/iPod Touch app), Spectrum Tool Suite (in development), My Church App (in development), and Hear Me Now (in development). In addition, Mark presents locally, nationally and internationally on using iPads with individuals with autism.  He has presented for Apple Retail, Apple Education K-12 (Reaching All Learners), Apple Inc. Higher Ed., Macworld/iWorld 2013, Autism Speaks, Autism NJ, Caldwell College, Hofstra University, Camden Community College, Aruba Autism Foundation, Children Specialized Hospital, St. Barnabas Pediatric Autism Support Group, and Hudson County Curriculum Consortium.
