Hoboken High School Annual Art Exibition 2013

On Thursday evening April 25th, the Hoboken HS art department sponsored its annual art exhibition. The exhibition began 8 years ago as part of the IB Program. The art component of the IB Program required students to present an exhibition of their work for the IB juror.
When Mrs. Ising took over the IB Art class, she began to look for an exhibition space for the students work. Partnering with the Monroe Center for the Arts,
we were able to exhibit the students work in a true gallery setting. What started as the IB Art Exhibition has been expanded over the years to include all art classes in Hoboken High School, as well as the work from our elementary schools.
This year was the first year of the AP Art Exhibition, since we now offer AP Studio Art. In addition to the Mrs. Ising’s AP student work, the work of her Photography
classes, Ms. Kubach’s Ceramics and Art II classes, and all the Art I classes were exhibited. We were proud to include the art work of Ms. Musella’s students from Connors School, Ms. Lisa’s students from Calabro School, and Ms. Fusco’s students from Wallace school.

The exhibition was a huge success with many members of the community and the Hoboken Public Schools family in attendance. The students and teachers would like to thank all who helped make their evening so special.
