Children at Pier13

I am reaching out to find any like-minded young adults like me who are completely frustrated and fed up with all of the children at Pier 13. While I understand the allure for young families to bring their children to an outdoor space where kids can get their sunshine and parents can get drunk while still keeping one (maybe half) an eye on their kids, this is just completely unacceptable behavior. While Pier 13 may masquerade as a family friendly environment, we must call a spade a spade. THIS.IS.A.BAR. There is no food served on the actual premises by Pier 13. There are food trucks, unaffiliated with Pier 13 lining the walkway, but there is no food served inside the bar. There are so few outdoor places for adults in Hoboken where kids cannot permeate the premises, why does this have to be one of them? The children can be found crawling over everyone else's seats and blankets except their own, and spilling countless drinks that the hardworking, non-children toting adults have purchased. As of today, my count of drinks spilled by children is at a grand total of 10 over the course of the last two months. That's $100 out of my pocket, and onto the grassy turf of Pier 13, courtesy of a child who should be supervised, but alas their parents are getting wasted and allowing their offspring to become the problem of the patrons.

My ideal solution would be a strict 'No Children Allowed' on the grass rule. However, maybe kids could be allowed one weekend a month or so, to allow their alcohol-crazed parents some respite from their taxing child-filled sober days.

My last question is really a legal one: Are patrons under the age of 21 allowed to be in a bar? Any lawyers out there? Also if anyone knows the best way to contact Pier 13 management please write back. Thank you.
