City Employee Accused of Having Guns, Running Pot Facility in Apartment

A city employee has been accused of having three firearms and running a marijuana manufacturing facility in his Church Towers apartment.

Joseph Casella, 32, a laborer with Hoboken's Parking Utility, has been charged with possessing 10 marijuana plants, intending to distribute marijuana, intending to distribute it within 1,000 feet of a school, intending to distribute within 500 feet of public property, possession of drug paraphernalia and weapons possession charges, according to NJ.com.

The city on Wednesday suspended Casella without pay, according to the report.
