Hoboken Police are looking for a man allegedly responsible for two assaults at knife-point on Monroe Street on Friday night.
Between 11:15 p.m. and midnight, two assaults took place, police said.
In one assault, a 67-year-old Jersey City resident was threatened with a knife in front of 328 Monroe St., police said.
The alleged robber didn't demand anything from the man and ran off without slashing or stabbing him, police said.
In the second assault that night, a 28-year-old woman from Jersey City sustained an injury after the alleged robber tried to take her purse, police said.
According to the police report, the robber tried to grab the woman's purse when a stranger came to her rescue. At this point, the robber showed the two his knife, which is when the woman was injured on her middle finger on her right hand, police said.
The witness left the scene before police arrived at the scene. (Police are asking for the witness to contact the police department to help the investigation).
No arrests were made. It's unclear if the assaults were the work of the same man.
