Missing Hoboken Man's Body Pulled From Hudson, Report Says

Family confirms body pulled from river on Monday near Lackawanna Terminal was Andrew Jarzyk.

The body of a Hoboken man who went missing in March after he was last seen jogging along the waterfront was pulled from the Hudson River on Monday, CBS New York reported.

Andrew Jarzyk's family confirmed to CBS the 27-year-old was the man pulled from the river near Lackawanna Terminal on Monday afternoon.

“This has been an extremely difficult journey of many emotions during this time. Although this has been a very tragic ending, we have been able to get through this because of love, faith, and outpouring support that we have received from everyone. Andrew would be so proud,” according to a family statement obtained by CBS.

"As we begin the healing process, please continue to be positive. Do not hang your heads on the ‘what if’s’ in life."

Jarzyk was last seen was last seen jogging in the area of 5th and Monroe streets in Hoboken at about 2 a.m. Sunday, March 30 after he went out with friends to West Five Supper Club at 505 Madison St.

The search for Jarzyk came to a "standstill" a week later when authorities' search of the area, including the Hudson River, was unsuccessful.

Jarzyk's family offered a $10,000 reward and a digital billboard was placed along Interstate 78 in Millburn alerting motorists of his disappearance.

Hoboken Police and the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office have not yet commented on the body's discovery.
