Police: Boonton Man Charged with Lewdness, Aggravated Assault after Headbutt
A 27-year-old Boonton man was arrested and charged with lewdness and aggrevated assault, police said.
This wasn't the way the night out was supposed to end.
Around 11 p.m. on Saturday night, in front of Hoboken's uptown biergarten, a 52-year-old East Brunswick man was headbutted in the face, police said.
Hoboken police arrested John Moran, 27 from Boonton, after allegedly exposing himself to the victim as well as headbutting him.

When police arrived on the scene, two bouncers from the biergarten told the officers what had transpired.
The victim was chatting with a group of people, police said, when Moran allegedly pulled down his pants and exposed himself to his surroundings. When the victim made a comment about Moran's behavior, police said, Moran pulled his pants back up and went over to the East Brunswick resident.

A verbal altercation followed, according to police reports.
When Moran extended his hand, the victim shook it, police said. But, as the handshake was in progress Moran headbutted the victim, leaving him with a swollen eye and a laceration, according to police reports.
Moran was charged with lewdness and aggravated assault, police said.
