Hoboken police are investigating who made the false 911 call Wednesday afternoon.

Hoboken Police are investigating an anonymous 911 caller who falsely reported a hostage situation Wednesday at a city construction site.

Police responded to the Bethesda Pentecostal Church at 707 Willow Ave. at about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday with their guns drawn looking for a construction worker holding someone hostage, according to NJ.com.
