Ricciardi Sentencing Postponed

The sentencing of the city's former information technology director was postponed Monday until the end of July.

The sentencing of Hoboken's former information technology director Patrick Ricciardi, who pleaded guilty in March to illegally intercepting and leaking the confidential email communications of the mayor and two high-ranking mayor's office employees, has been postponed until July 29.

Ricciardi, who appeared in court Monday dressed in an untucked striped button down shirt, had been scheduled for sentencing by Federal Judge Esther Salas in U.S. District Court in Newark.

After an hourlong delay, however, word came that Ricciardi's sentencing had been postponed due to a disagreement over restitution. The specifics of the disagreement have not been disclosed.
