Port Authority police arrested six Newark teenagers early Sunday after an alleged gang assault aboard a Hoboken-bound PATH train, the Associated Press reported.

The victims said they had been beaten and robbed, and one, a 21-year-old Budd Lake man, received eight stitches in his lip, the AP reported.

Police were able to identify the suspects with the help of passengers, according to the AP. The suspects — all between the ages of 15 and 17 — were arrested at the Hoboken Terminal and charged with gang assault and robbery. They were being held at the Hudson County juvenile detention center on Sunday, the AP reported.
