Hoboken Boathouse Design Input Sought

A community workshop meeting will be held next Monday at Multi-Service Center.

City officials are seeking the public's input for a boathouse that will be located on the Hoboken/Weehawken Cove.

Marvel Architects, the City of Hoboken and the Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse Group will develop over the next few months a design for a new boathouse to be located at the north end of Hoboken’s waterfront.

"The underlying goal of the boathouse is to provide water access and engagement through community non-motorized boating activities and educational events," according to a Hoboken Nixle alert. "The next step is to get the public's input on the program of spaces required to support this goal and better define the activities that the boathouse should be designed to support."

A community workshop meeting will be held on Monday, May 12 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the community room in the Multi-Service Center at 124 Grand St.
