Housing Authority Meeting Rescheduled for Aug. 28

The Hoboken Housing Authority's August meeting has been moved from this Thursday, Aug. 8, to Wednesday, Aug. 28.

The Hoboken Housing Authority's monthly meeting, originally scheduled for Thursday at 6 p.m., has been postponed until the end of the month, HHA executive director Carmelo Garcia confirmed.

Garcia said Monday that the meeting had been rescheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 28 at Monroe Gardens because more time was needed to hash out some of the proposed agenda items.

"We have a litany of things that we're waiting to see," said Garcia, citing the amount of federal funding the housing authority will receive vis-a-vis introduction of its budget, interviews with board architect and engineer candidates, and a review of fiber network bids. "For all these resolutions that were going to be on [the agenda], pretty much, we needed more time."

Garcia said the revised HHA meeting date would necessitate moving the fourth public forum on Vision 20/20 to Wednesday, Sept. 4.
