My point is that this articles is not a "reported" article but simply a repost of something that appears elsewhere. Original reporting has been curtailed because of PATCH's national financial problems. They have let go the vast majority of their employees and therefore their ability to provide reported articles is severely limited. 411 may be biased reporting, but for the most part. it is not mainly reposts of other articles

Neither 411 nor Patch have covered Beth Mason's potential $2million in ELEC fines which has been reported in Politicker and NJ.Com. I'm sure that's what's bothering you, Cassandra. Here ya go. http://www.politickernj.com/back_room/masons-elec-mess-hoboken http://www.nj.com/hudson/index.ssf/2014/03/elec_says_councilwoman_mason_violated_election_reporting_rules.html

You make my case. The news is no longer reported. Instead the political hacks are now the prime dispensers of "news" on hpatch and 411. The Jersey Journal did carry an article on the Mason imbroglio.

@cassandra, yes, I posted the link to JJ's article. Speaking of political hacks, the Reporter also "covered" Mason's ELEC problems, but left off her 2009 violations which were issued at the same time and amount to over 2/3s of the potential fines. But when you buy a half page ad every week you get a seat at the editorial table. You make it sound like reporting is curtailed because of financial problems. That's true, but not exactly the way you imply. Beth can control content on the Reporter, and they have to listen to that two bit operative James Barracato all day.
