Mayor Zimmer 'Upset' About Sandy Aid Delay

Mayor Dawn Zimmer agrees with Gov. Chris Christie and condemned the House of Representatives' delay in voting on Sandy aid.

Much like Gov. Chris Christie, Zimmer criticized House Republicans on Wednesday for delaying the vote on a Sandy aid bill that will impact hundreds of thousands of residents in New York and New Jersey.

Initially, the proposed $60.4 billion aid package would be voted on by the House of Representatives after the fiscal cliff was addressed. Congress found a resolution for that, but tabled the Sandy package.

The Sandy package has not been voted on.

"It's stunning," said Mayor Dawn Zimmer on Wednesday afternoon. "It shouldn't come down to politics."

Zimmer commented on the delay after receiving , from Haven Savings Bank on Wednesday afternoon.

"" Zimmer said. "And so am I."
