Planner to Present Final Plan for Phase I of Southwest Park

A third public meeting will be held on June 4 at the Multi Service Center.

A third public meeting on the first phase of Southwest Park will be held on Wednesday, June 4 in the first-floor conference room of the Multi Service Center.

The planner has developed a final conceptual plan, which also includes storm water management infrastructure, based on community feedback from the previous two meetings.

“We thank everyone who participated in the community meetings and the over 500 residents who provided feedback through the online survey,” Mayor Dawn Zimmer said in a statement. "I look forward to seeing everyone at the next meeting and hope to work with the Council and community to build this park as quickly as possible."

The city acquired 1 acre of property in October 2013 that's surrounded by Jackson Street, Observer Highway, Harrison Street and Paterson Avenue.
