Report: U.S. Senator Menendez Says Prostitution Allegations are False

The senator has been accused of accepting plane rides to the Dominican Republic as well as prostitution, according to the Star Ledger.

U.S Senator and Hudson County native Bob Menedez is denying prositution allegations that came to light after one of his major donor's office was raided this week, according to the Star Ledger.

The FBI raided the office of Dr. Salomon Melgen's office, who is known to be a donor of the New Jersey senator, the Ledger reported,  Menendez was re-elected in a landslide in November.

In the article, Menendez says that the allegations are false and calls them "politically motivated."

The Daily Caller, a political blog, reported the allegations first in November.

"The website interviewed two anonymous women who claimed to be prostitutes. With their faces concealed, they claimed that Menendez had paid them for sex," the Ledger reports.
