Founding Family of Stevens Institute of Technology Returns to Hoboken

The founding family of Stevens Institute of Technology visited the campus this weekend. Mayor Dawn Zimmer also attended.

The Stevens family celebrated its reunion on the university's campus this weekend.

Jonathan Reckford, CEO of Habitat for Humanity International, grandson of former NJ Congresswoman Millicent Fenwick, and great-great-great grandson of Stevens Institute of Technology founder Edwin A. Stevens, headlined the Stevens reunion.

The first Stevens family reunion in 1980 featured Congresswoman Fenwick, great-granddaughter of university founder Edwin A. Stevens.

Multiple events were held on the campus on Saturday. A "Cake Boss" cake was made in the shape of the yacht America that Stevens brothers Edwin and John Cox sailed to victory in what turned out to be the first America’s Cup.

Mayor Dawn Zimmer dedicated "Edwin Augustus Stevens Drive" on the Stevens campus.
