Gov. Chris Christie will attend the announcement of two state-funded information technology projects being undertaken at Stevens Institute of Technology.

Gov. Chris Christie will be in Hoboken Friday for the kickoff of two information technology projects expected to enhance student learning at Stevens Institute of Technology.

The projects — a virtualized learning environment that enables students to use high-tech business and manufacturing software, and a unified communication and collaboration project that enhances students' learning experiences through video lecture and virtual discussion — are being rolled out at Stevens' “Enabling Innovation,” event.

Both tech projects are being supported through $7.25 million in state bond funds.
