Hoboken School Board Says Goodbye to Members Minutillo, Sullivan

School Board Members Theresa Minutillo and Maureen Sullivan completed their last meeting on Tuesday night.

Theresa Minutillo and Maureen Sullivan retired from the Hoboken Board of Education on Tuesday night.

Both Sullivan and Minutillo decided not to run for reelection in last month's elections.

"Six and a half years has been a long time," said Minutillo, "I have seen a lot of progress."

Minutillo and Sullivan received a standing ovation from their fellow board members and the public.

"It has been an honor and a privilege," said Sullivan, whose daughter was in attendance on Tuesday night. "Good luck to all of you."

As of next month, Tom Kleupfel and Jean Marie Mitchell will be taking their seats on the dais. Kleupfel and Mitchell ran on the Kids First ticket last month and won the election, as well as incumbent Ruth McAllister.
