Wallace School Student is Hoboken's Reading Champion

The Wallace School student read more than 100 books over the summer and was honored for his accomplishment earlier this week.

Hoboken has a reading champ.

Wallace School student Ra-zhone Lane was honored by Mayor Dawn Zimmer during a recent council meeting for reading a stunning 101 books over the summer.

Every day, Ra-zhone went to the Hoboken Public Library with his mother, La-Shaunda Ross.

Ra-zhone finished in first place with the Hoboken Public Library Summer Reading Program.

Superintendent Mark Toback said that he was impressed. "It's an amazing accomplishment."

When asked which books he enjoyed, Ra-zhone mentioned The Hunger Games as one of his favorites.

"I want to thank my mom for taking me to the library every day," Ra-zhone said during the council meeting.
