Vote Reform On Tuesday!

Tomorrow’s election in Hoboken will be the most pivotal event since 2009 and it is vital to go to the polls and support the Reform tickets. On tap is the Mayoral, Council at Large and BOE races.

Under Mayor Zimmer Hoboken ranks number 2 in New Jersey (out of 566 municipalities) in tax cuts with 12.9% accomplished. No it is not 25%, but it is important to remember that millions of dollars in state and federal aid cuts occurred during this decline.

Vitally important is her rescuing of HUMC from the clutches of the Old Guard opposition who did everything possible to derail the sale to HoldCo. Had they had their way HUMC would have closed and 1,200 jobs would have been lost. Also remember that she saved the Hoboken taxpayers from over $60 million in principle and interest. Today Care Point is open and paying taxes!

Her administration is the first in over a generation to not have the Mayor or anyone she hired do a perp walk or go to jail.

Major concerts like Mumford & Sons and Bob Dylan have helped local businesses with the huge crowds. Likewise despite Beth Mason’s lies Hoboken will be a destination city for the next year’s Super Bowl.

For the 1st time in a long while infrastructure improvements on our municipal property have begun.

For too long the obstructionist minority have prevented other positive efforts from being enacted, which is why it is important to elect Dave Mello, Ravi Bhalla and Jim Doyle to the council.

Similarly, under Kids First positive improvements have been enacted. 29 major audit violations, kept hidden have now been corrected, patronage jobs have been eliminated and if not for the sequester, the budget would have been flat and right at the minimum levy required by NJ law.

New text books, science kits, SmartBoards, laptops, a science lab for Connors and a multitude of capital improvements are being accomplished.

The days of $1,200 dinner’s at the most expensive restaurant in town, etc are now things of the past.

New programs like a culinary kitchen, hair styling, a new High School and Wallace gym floor and importantly test scores are beginning to rise. This is not by accident. Mentors and an innovative one child at time computer program are all having a positive effect.

So, remember to vote for Leon Gold, Irene Sobolov and Jennifer Evans-3, 5, 8 tomorrow as well!
