Housing Authority tenants were treated to an afternoon of food, music and entertainment on Saturday at Christopher Columbus Gardens as the Hoboken Housing Authority hosted its 13th annual Resident Appreciation Day.

"It's a great summer day," said HHA Chairman Robert Davis III, who has lived in the community most of his life and said he always looks forward to Resident Appreciation Day.

This year's resident appreciation day featured a barbecue, two water slides, music and fun for the entire family.

So there has been all this drama in the HHA recently and the Patch story is some press release puff piece.
Pops August 22, 2013 at 07:55 AM
Perhaps you should have interviewed HHA tenant Jessica Coco to hear her thoughts about being appreciated by HHA.
Save the Projects August 22, 2013 at 11:10 AM
Why weren't all the HHA tenants invited? Why was there no posting put up? Was it posted like the Brian Stack meeting where only 20 something Carmelities were invited, but the rest of the HHA tenants were not.

From what I hear, there are some residents who aren't very appreciated.
Stan Grossbarf August 22, 2013 at 11:57 AM

Stan Grossbarf August 22, 2013 at 11:58 AM

Hoboken Answer August 22, 2013 at 12:37 PM
Did they celebrate Carmelo "destined for greatness" Garca's latest rat tape revelations? Everyone under the bus! http://grafixavenger.blogspot.com/2013/08/transcript-carmelo-calls-raia-fcking.html http://www.hobokenhorse.com/2013/08/carmelo-garcia-slams-frank-pupie-raia.html

This is disgusting! Federal and state tax dollars are spent on feeding a group of people who, in all likelihood get food stamps and free meals the remaining 364 days of the year. Maybe it should have been a skills workshop or job fair stressing that the projects were supposed to be temporary living quarters, not generational housing subsidies. Where is my block of government cheese?

I thought the children have been banned from the playground!
Hoboken Answer August 23, 2013 at 07:29 AM
No, the HHA children are banned from the playing field. Only Carmelo Garcia can bequeath them time or using their First Amendment rights. According to him, they must get written approval from him for all of this. He'll get to it after he finished setting up others on his king rat tapes and meets with Michael Russo to plot next Vision Money/Money bilking schemes.

The children I am referring to are the commenters on this article
Pops August 23, 2013 at 10:22 AM
Speak for yourself, Cassandra.
cassandra August 23, 2013 at 02:27 PM
Unlike most of you, I always do!
hobokenhorse.com August 23, 2013 at 03:22 PM
Now "cassandra," I've always defended you because of your honesty in advocating for your philosophical position on government and corruption but I think this is beyond the pale. Probably no one in this thread has any connection to Beth Mason whatsoever meaning they are people speaking on the whole for themselves. Personally, I speak for Hoboken as I am the Hoboken Answer.
Hoboken Answer August 23, 2013 at 04:23 PM
Oh you stop Horsey or I will be forced to kick your behind. No one else is the Hoboken Answer but the real Hoboken Answer.
anthony l crockett August 24, 2013 at 12:35 PM
yes I am sure they appreciate all those stuck in public housing as long as they vote democrat.
Pops August 24, 2013 at 04:28 PM
@Anthony, interesting then that HAA Exec Director Carmelo Garcia endorsed Christie and in all likelihood promised Brian Stack that he could deliver HHA to Christie. It's bizarro world.
cindy goldberg August 24, 2013 at 06:02 PM
OFCOURSE reformers at it again..no fluff..and Frank Raia paid for nothing..only thing Frank Raia is paying for is Jessica Coco and her one person save the projects club...jessica is Freddy Fraziers drinking buddy...don't know who is Freddy is??!? Ask Frank he never goes into the HHA without him...
Hoboken Answer August 24, 2013 at 06:26 PM
Well "Cindy" Raia isn't paying anything for anyone in STP and that group is indpendent. Before Ruben Ramos pal Carmelo Garcia and the Carmelitos said there was no group. YOU LIE. It's almost over for Ramos and Garcia. The long knives are coming out and it won't be much longer now.
Carol Harrison August 24, 2013 at 08:45 PM
Cindy, Is this like your post about Raia running on Zimmer's ticket? Why should we believe anything you say?
Save the Projects August 24, 2013 at 10:58 PM
Our group does not support Frank Raia. Why would we support someone for a plan we dub "Vision Eviction/Eviction"? Ms. Coco just related to me that she does not know Frank Fraziers. She says she has never met him. As to being drinking buddies with Frank or anyone else, everyone knows Ms. Coco doesn't drink. Everyone in the group I contacted, in fact, had a big laugh, when I read them your blog. Ms. Coco doesn't drink, do drugs. She doesn't even smoke. You should be ashamed to tell such lies.

You mean the failed 2007 4th Ward City Council Canidate?
