Community Input Wanted on Southwest Park Designs

Public meeting will be held Tuesday night at the Multi Service Center.

A second public meeting seeking community input on the first phase of a Southwest Park will be held Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at the Multi Service Center.

The meeting, which will include a presentation on stormwater management, will discuss four design concepts that were developed based on input from the first community meeting and an online survey. The designs will be presented for community feedback.

A third public meeting will be held based on Tuesday's community input.

Hoboken acquired the 1 acre of land bounded by Jackson Street, Observer Highway, Harrison Street and Paterson Avenue as the first installment of a new Southwest Park.

Wow 300Marshall. Thanks for bringing that to light. So you say the City is pating $13 million ($3 million county grant plus $10 more from taxpayers) for a 1 acre park. That's sure a disgrace. Can you link to your source so the zombies can't just dismiss your whistleblowing by calling you names. That would really be helpful.

I've been saying this for a year. This is going to be the most expensive .74 Acre park ever. There better be gold or oil under that parking lot.

Link to the source. My research skills are excellent, but I don't want to risk a concussion.

Hard to look something up that seems to be made up. Link to the source if you believe in what you say.

That's just Halloran trying to be cute...and hide his disappointment (?!) that there's apparently nothing to back up the supposed $13M purchase price referenced above. Also, the link should read ingot, not inglot, dot com, as in gold bars. Being a reasonable person, I wasted a minute of my time, working on the assumption that he might actually be trying to contribute something worthwhile to the discussion.
