Holiday Craft Fair, Vintage Shopping Extravaganza This Weekend in Hoboken

*The Hoboken Holiday Craft Fair, which features three floors of handcrafted items ranging from art and jewelry to hand-knit clothing and holiday ornaments runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at Hoboken City Hall.

*Vagabondia Vintage & Handmade is teaming up with vintage/antique boutique Mackey Blue for an all-day special holiday shopping extravaganza on Saturday. There will be storewide sales, wine and refreshments, and raffles for vintage and handmade goods. The event will be held outside of Mackey Blue, on 12th Street between Washington and Bloomfield.

*SantaCon, the annual gathering of jolly revelers clad in Santa Claus costumes who parade from bar to bar spreading cheer and drinking beer, is returning to Hoboken this Saturday for a third year. The pub crawl runs from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with each of the eight participating bars offering drink specials to costumed Santas during a designated hour of the day. Toys for Tots donations are also encouraged as part of this year's SantaCon.

*The Liberty Humane Society and Jolly Old Saint Nick are teaming up this weekend to offer doggie photo shoots with Santa. For a $10 donation this Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. at the shelter, located at 235 Jersey City Blvd. in Jersey City, dog owners will receive a glossy printed photo of their pup with Santa along with the digital backup.

*A free opening reception for a new exhibition at Proto Gallery, 66 Willow Ave., that features the works of 20 abstract painters will be held Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

*Bank of America cardholders can visit cultural venues across the country for free on the first full weekend of each month, including this weekend, Dec. 7 and 8. There are more than 150 museums participating in 91 cities nationwide. *An exhibit examining the wide-ranging impact Superstorm Sandy has had on Hoboken is open at the Hoboken Historical Museum and remains on display through July 6, 2014.

*The city hosts table tennis nights at the Multi-Service Center from 8 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. every Friday and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. every Saturday for the rest of the year. Players of all ages are invited to attend the free games (children 18 and under must be accompanied by an adult), which will be held in the Multi-Service Center's second floor gym. Six tables, paddles and balls are available at the center.
