PATH Closures, Gallery Walk, NovemBEERfest This Weekend in Hoboken

Let us help you plan your weekend.

*The World Trade Center and Exchange Place PATH stations will be closed this weekend while the tunnels that connect the stations are power washed to remove residual salt left behind by Superstorm Sandy. Visit the PATH website for more information on train schedules and station closures.

*Village Pourhouse, located at 205 1st St., is hosting its third annual NovemBEERfest this Saturday from noon to 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., where guests can sample beers from around the world. Tickets are $60 and include admission, 10 2-ounce beer tastes and bar snacks.

*On the third Sunday of every month, Hoboken's art galleries open their doors for participants of a city-sponsored walking tour from 2 p.m. to 6 pm.. The galleries participating this Sunday are:

Barsky Gallery – 49 Harrison St.
D’s Soul Full Café – 918 Willow Ave.
Historic Museum Gallery – 1301 Hudson St.
hob’Art Gallery – 720 Monroe St. E208
Issyra African Gallery – 1313 1st St.

*An exhibit examining the wide-ranging impact Superstorm Sandy has had on Hoboken opened recently at the Hoboken Historical Museum and remains on display through July 6, 2014.

*Ali Baba Restaurant, located at 912 Washington St., will celebrate its 30th anniversary on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., where they will serve free appetizers and desserts and raffle off gift certificates. 

*The Proto Gallery, a new contemporary art gallery in Hoboken, has an ongoing exhibition called, "Proto Intro: One," which features 10 contemporary artists who work in a variety of mediums, from painting to photography. The exhibit is open to the public Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., or by appointment, through Nov. 17.

*The Hoboken Family Farmers Market is open this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 14th Street and Garden Street.

*The most recent work of accomplished blind artist Tim Lefens is on display through November in the gallery at Bwe Kafe, located at 1002 Washington St.

*The city hosts table tennis nights at the Multi-Service Center from 8 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. every Friday and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. every Saturday for the rest of the year. Players of all ages are invited to attend the free games (children 18 and under must be accompanied by an adult), which will be held in the Multi-Service Center's second floor gym. Six tables, paddles and balls are available at the center.
