Toy Drive Kickoff Party, Children's Theater Series This Weekend in Hoboken

*The Hoboken Family Alliance, a charitable organization committed to connecting Hoboken families through events and activities, is throwing a party at Big Fun Toys on Saturday to kick off its holiday toy drive.

*Hudson Theatre Ensemble Silly on Sixth Children’s Series presents a musical adaptation of "The Ugly Duckling," Sunday at the Hudson School Performance Space, 601 Park Ave. Shows begin at noon and 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 for children and $10 for adults.


*An exhibit examining the wide-ranging impact Superstorm Sandy has had on Hoboken is open at the Hoboken Historical Museum and remains on display through July 6, 2014.

*The most recent work of accomplished blind artist Tim Lefens is on display through November in the gallery at Bwe Kafe, located at 1002 Washington St.

*The city hosts table tennis nights at the Multi-Service Center from 8 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. every Friday and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. every Saturday for the rest of the year. Players of all ages are invited to attend the free games (children 18 and under must be accompanied by an adult), which will be held in the Multi-Service Center's second floor gym. Six tables, paddles and balls are available at the center.
