City Discount House opened in February 1969. The retail store caters to all demographics, male and female. Owner Theresa Castellano brings her tiny Maltese Ozzie in everyday, rain or shine, to greet her loyal customers. The space is long and packed with merchandise. Recent renovations uncovered original paneled ceilings, replacing the 1970s drop ceilings. Castellano says she sticks with the classic look, not going with the fads very often. Castellano does double duty in town, serving on the City Council in addition to running City Discount House.
