The team at Creative Interiors worked with us to transform our small Manhattan brownstone apartment into a sophisticated and comfortable home. After listening to our ideas, preferences and concerns about the constraints of our space, they translated all of the information into recommendations that were not only beautiful but appropriate for our lifestyle. The entire process was a partnership with many frank discussions about budget, timelines, construction schedules, furniture and fabric selections. They handled differences of opinion in a professional manner and they are trustworthy, in fact, we vacated our home for three weeks during the construction phase without a concern. Creative Interiors provided full service support: design service, showroom visits, fully rendered floor plans, detailed drawings for closet redesign – which are fabulous. They provided complete management of all sub-contractor manufacturers and service providers. In essence, Creative Interiors provides a single point of contact in the day-to-day management of a creative process. The end result is a home that is functional and aesthetically pleasing. I did business with this firm while renovating my home and had an entire slew of issues with the way they conducted business. They sell you the sun and the moon to get you on board and then under deliver on so many levels while grossly overcharging you. As an example, I caught them trying to charge higher prices on my invoice versus the price the items were actually being sold for in their very own retail store--and this was after I had already paid them many thousands of dollars. They also insisted on using their own painters and wallpaper hangers which were 3 times more expensive than you can find on your own. I also had issues with them not standing behind the products they sell. Any time there was a problem with something they sold me in regards to damage or quality, they tried to switch the blame onto me or make up a ridiculous excuse. They would not even acknowledge any problem until the situation became a nightmare. The entire period we did business there was this vibe of everything being all about the money and there was no relationship or trust formed. According to them, they are used to only working with people that have unlimited budgets, so they refuse to discuss how they arrive at the prices they charge their customers. They try to sell you the most expensive options first before even considering more economical ways to achieve the same results. I also caught them lying to me on numerous occasions. I strongly recommend staying away from these people.
