McCarthy's opened in the fall of 2009, and has a combination of exposed brick and wood-paneled walls that create a modern atmosphere. Its a long, narrow, but cozy bar in the building next to the Hoboken Police Station. Owner Steve Carr also runs the popular Hoboken Pizza, just around the corner, and offers the pizza at McCarthy's. Pizza is free on Monday nights. There are several large screen TVs, making McCarthy's a popular, low-key spot to watch a game. Strange but true, everyone comments on how nice the ladies room is, located one level below the rest of the establishment.
