According to Hoboken High School's mission statement, the school aims to "prepare our students to become stakeholders…More in a changing and complex society." In order to do so, the school offers the 2-year International Baccalaureate Programme, as well as theater, art and music electives.
In 2008 the school met the "Adequate Yearly Progress" requirement under the No Child Left Behind Act.

Hoboken City Clerk James J. Farina, RMC, is responsible for keeping the city seal, acting as the chief election…More officer and keeping the municipal records. The office handles request from Hoboken residents for copies of documents and also maintains the Hoboken Municipal code and City Council agendas.
The City Clerk's office is located in the City Hall building at Washington Street.
