W Hotel Hosts The Oscars
Cablevision woes turned the W Hotel's Oscar viewing party into a hit on Sunday.
With Cablevision threatening to keep the 82nd annual Academy Awards off of ABC networks in the New York metro area Sunday night, Hobokenites flocked to the W Hotel's screening party to see who would be taking home the golden Oscar. In the end, the Cablevision/ABC woes turned out fine, but those that came out to the W got something extra: complimentary Moet champagne, an Oscars prediction scorecard, and the luxury of lazing around the W's glam Living Room bar and lounge area. The show began with a musical number by Neil Patrick Harris and an introduction of the nominees in the best actor and actress categories, all before hosts Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin took the stage to deliver their playful opening.
