On Wednesday night, the Hoboken City Council will meet at 7 p.m. in Hoboken City Hall. Among the issues the City Council will discuss, is the new Downtown Pub. It's the first full week of spring. Here's what you can expect.
On Monday afternoon, at 2 p.m., the city is promoting eleven fire fighters. Three captains will become batallion chiefs and eight fire fighters will be promoted to captain. Passover starts on Monday night at sundown. A happy Passover to everyone who celebrates. On Tuesday night, the Hoboken Board of Education is holding a college planning night at the high school at Seventh and Clinton. Two community meetings are being held this week where Hobokenites can voice their opinions about the renovations of two city parks. On Tuesday night, the public is invited to attend a meeting about Legion Park at the Fox Hill Gardens community room. Coming up this week in Hoboken.
On Monday we will bring you the police reports from the weekend. After two weeks without a council meeting, nine Hoboken council members are expected to meet on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. Councilman Jim Doyle is expected to be sworn in again on Wednesday and resume his term as councilman. On Thursday, the Hoboken Housing Authority commission is meeting to discuss the hiring of a new attorney. The Hoboken High School will put on its performance of Rent, starting Friday night February 8.

On Monday night, the three winners of the Hoboken School Board elections are being sworn in in the Board of Education meeting room. The ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. and a celebration will follow at the Turtle Club. The swearing in will take place at the annual re-organization meeting.
