This week marks the end of 2012 and the start of 2013. And for many, the end of vacation. Let us help you plan the first week of the year. Monday night is New Year's Eve, when Hoboken will surely be a big party. If you're still looking for a place to ring in the new year, take a look at this list. PATH service will be round the clock on New Year's Eve. The rest of the week, trains will run between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m., every day. Tuesday, on new year's day, City Hall will be closed — as will other municipal buildings — and many businesses and offices are closed as well. Hoboken's public schools are also closed. It's party time!
The end of 2012 is near. And what better way to celebrate the end of this news-filled year, and the beginning of 2013, with a big party in Hoboken? So, get your party outfit ready and take a look at some of the Mile Square's options to party the night away in Hoboken. The Pilsener Haus is offering food, booze and the Times Square Ball drop on big screens. Entrance is $20, big parties should reserve. If you like beer and brats, this is your place. The Port Authority made the announcement on Monday.
Don't worry about leaving your New Year's Eve Party in Hoboken early. The PATH is running 24/7 on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced on Monday. This will be the first time the PATH is running round the clock since Hurricane Sandy. Until then, service runs between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. every day. The Hoboken station was reopened last week after being closed for nearly two months. From the Port Authority's announcement: On Tuesday, Dec. 31, New Year’s Eve, between the hours of 5 a.m. and 10 p.m., PATH trains will run both ways from Newark to the World Trade Center, Journal Square to 33rd Street, and Hoboken and 33rd Street.
