Pick Up Truck Hits Two Pedestrians at Second and Willow [UPDATED]
The two were hit by a pick up truck around 1:45 p.m.
Two pedestrians were struck by a pick up truck on the corner of Second Street and Willow Avenue on Tuesday afternoon. The incident, which was confirmed by Sgt. Anthony Falco, occured around 1:45 p.m. The two were taken to the Hoboken University Medical Center, Falco said. According to Tommy Molta, the president of the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps, the victims — one male, one female — were both in their sixties. While Molta couldn't give specifics about the injuries, he called them "critical." Both patients were taken to the Jersey City Medical Center, because they needed to be taken to a trauma center. Good idea! The ban should include all trucks- after all it was a truck that caused the accident. Maybe fire engines can be exempted but certainly not taxis , police cars, UPS, FEDEX and the sweet sweepers. Horse drawn wagons stabled at the periphery can be used to carry in supplies . Everybody will have to walk except those who can afford horse drawn carriages.. Think how healthy we will be. …   more ›
