The approval, however, doesn't mean the restaurant will be able to open immediately. The variances were approved for an amended application, according to one person with knowledge on the matter.
Firstly, Danny Tattoli—who bought the property in 2007—will need an easement from the City Council, allowing his building to encroach four feet into the public right of way.
The owner's lawyer addressed the Zoning Board last week and offered to amend the application to demolish the wall which extends onto the public sidewalk, according to one source.

ReplyHobbs: thanks for commenting. it's my understanding that funding follows the student. More students in the Hoboken school district would therefor mean more funding coming to the district.

Thank you for reading. The reason the story has not been covered on Patch yet, is because I want to confirm it with the County myself. As you all know there have been differing reports. I have been in touch with the county and they are looking into the matter for me. Stories like these take some time, and there is a lot of other work to be done in the meantime. The NJ Transit spokeswoman did not provide a description of the man, nor did the Hoboken Police Department. Patch will be following up on the story and publish more information as it becomes available.
