On the Blog Post Report Applauds Hoboken Housing Authority

ReplySo that your hallways smell like pee, there are meth labs run out of your buildings and 90% of the crime in Hoboken originate from the housing authority, that means your doing a good job? Wow, clearly Carmelo Garcia is clueless. The bottom line, your vision 20/20 plan is not moving forward until there is proper accountability. Most residents of Hoboken do not see a need to increase the size of the housing authority, we have more affordable housing in Hoboken than most other cities. I understand we need new buildings but they need to fit into hobokens master plan and there should be no rush to build.

ReplyI wonder who silly bike thinks will be elected mayor? That Ramos guy who has aligned himself and hitched his wagon with the Russo mafia? Yeah that is going to go over well with 90% of the Hoboken population? Educated white collar voters will not be voting for Ramos on that reason alone. Something you might want to keep in mind before you make your proclamations of victory. That political column in the Hoboken reporter this past weekend literally killed the Ramos election with one article.

ReplyShe was encouraged to run by several democratic leaders? Really? Why, so they could get a good laugh at her expense? Sorry but I don't believe a word she says....damn shame she didn't run, would have been fun to see what the grafix avenger would come up with next in making fun of the whole situation. Gosh Beth really has lost her mind if she thinks she will be anything greater than a 2nd ward council person. Her political career died when the monarch project came to light and she showed her true colors indicating she was ok with the development until she got called out by her own 2nd ward residents on her position and suddenly changed her mind to chagrin of the Barry brothers.

When mayor zimmer gets re-elected, I am looking forward to not having to read all your spelling mistakes....I guess the pay checks from beth mason will end for you once the election is over. Damn shame, I really enjoyed your pictures, the broomstick, the bike, etc.

Replycuriousgal, why is garcia courageous? I walked by the projects the other day in hoboken, they look horrible? very poorly taken care of...why should we elect a guy who cannot even handle the HHA properly to now let him have a say in how the state is run? your comment seems to completely lack logic? my protest vote in november will be for the republican candidate and I would suggest everyone else who is concerned about this situation vote against stack and garcia in november. your vote always counts and can make a difference.

I appreciate that mayor zimmer stepped in and brought this to the public's attention but I do not believe the hudson county freeholders did enough to reduce the taxes. The old ways of doing business in hudson county is over, you are now accountable. In all honesty, there should have been a zero tax increase or slight reduction in taxes similar to what the mayor was proposing for hoboken (which of course beth mason, mike russo, refuse to sign off on so the budget still has not been finalized). Anthony Romano needs to do a better job of digging into the hudson county numbers and get them better under control.
